What services does CareSource cover?

CareSource covers all services required by Michigan Medicaid. We have a lot of benefits.

You can get some services without a referral from your primary care provider (PCP). This means your PCP does not need to okay the service first. Just call for an appointment.

Some services need a referral. That means you must get an okay from your PCP before you can receive the service.

A few services need an okay from CareSource too. This means that your PCP has to okay the service and has to ask us for an okay.

To learn more, please see Covered Services.

How can I get services that CareSource does not cover?

CareSource does not cover some services. For example, we do not pay for dental care. But you can still get them from Michigan Medicaid or another agency.

To learn more, please see Services Outside CareSource.

What if I get a bill for services?

You do not have to pay for any service that CareSource covers.  So you should not get a bill for any of those services. If you do get a bill, please call our service center at 1-800-390-7102.
